Bitcoin jumps above $44,400; Solana, Cardano gain up to 6%

The cryptocurrency markets were trading higher in Thursday's trade, led by Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, and Solana. The global cryptocurrency market cap rose 3.3% to around $1.71 trillion in the last 24 hours. At 11:46 a.m., Bitcoin was trading 3.63% higher at $44,486, while Ethereum was up 2.52% at $2,421. Other altcoin such as BNB, Solana, Cardano, Avalanche, Polygon, Polkadot, Internet Computer, and Shiba Inu rose 3-6%. XRP, Dogecoin, Tron, and Toncoin gained 1-3%. The total volume in DeFi is currently at $4.53 billion, 8.31% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume. In the last 24 hours, the market cap of Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, surged to $873 billion.
