Bitcoin rises above $37,300; Solana, Avalanche surge up to 6%

Major crypto tokens were trading higher today, recovering from Wednesday's decline. The global cryptocurrency market cap increased by 2.33% to around $1.42 trillion in the last 24 hours. At 12:52 p.m., BTC was trading 2.4% higher at $37,372. In the last 24 hours, the market cap of Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, surged to $730 billion. Other popular altcoins, including the likes of Solana and Avalanche, advanced 6% and 4.3%, respectively. Also, XRP, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Toncoin, Cardano, and Polkadot surged 2-3%. The total volume in DeFi is currently $5.43 billion, 9.93% of the total crypto market 24-hour volume.
