Social messaging app Telegram is introducing an advertising platform that enables channel owners to receive rewards in Toncoin. The Telegram Ad Platform will officially launch in March to advertisers in nearly 100 countries, CEO Pavel Durov announced Wednesday. With the announcement, channel owners can benefit by monetizing their content effectively. As a result, Telegram joins other social media giants YouTube and X (formerly Twitter), both of which currently offer ad revenue sharing with users. Telegram founder Durov further said in his update that the platform would exclusively use the TON blockchain, “to ensure ad payments and withdrawals are fast and secure.”
